Honoring Frances Padilla’s Legacy
Frances Padilla, president of Universal Health Care Foundation of Connecticut announced she will retire at the end of 2022 after 18 years.
In her honor, long-time friends of Frances, labor unions, and Universal’s allies commit their support to celebrate Frances’ legacy. You are invited to join their campaign to Power a Healthy Futures Fund at Universal.
The campaign's goal is to raise $100,000+ per year for three years. The Fund will support and leverage grants to build power for health justice.
What will your contribution make possible? A gift of $10,000 powers an organizing grant to a group fighting for health justice for LGBTQIA+ youth. $5,000 pays for outreach, education, and engagement to compel the insurance department to consider consumers when deciding how high insurance premiums can climb. $1,000 provides stipends for grassroots canvassers' childcare, t-shirts, and flyers.
Whatever amount you choose to give, please know you will leverage Universal’s grants for even greater impact!
Won’t you kindly consider a tax-deductible, three-year commitment of $1,000 (or more), per year, to celebrate Frances, ease the road for her successor, and build power to deliver health justice for all Connecticut residents?
